 Robin Hoselton

New Year's Eve Baby is Talented, Prolific and Comedic Writer

Robin Hoselton was born an Army brat in San Francisco on New Year’s Eve in 1942. She’s lived many places ranging from a New York City apartment to a goat farm in Missouri. Her retirement nest is in Jacksonville, Florida.

She says that in the “old” days, if girls didn’t marry right out of high school, they became secretaries, nurses, or teachers. She had no patience with children, and didn’t want to clean up people’s bodily fluids, so by default she worked most of her life as a secretary. She confesses that she spent a large part of every job complaining about being cooped up inside four walls.

Prolific and Great-ful Gardener

Now free to enjoy the outdoors, Robin spends much of her time gardening. She concentrates on attracting birds and butterflies with a goal of turning 75 percent of her front lawn into native plantings. Her back yard has been certified a wildlife habitat
.

The Joys of Life

Her daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons live in the Midwest, so occasional vacations already have a fixed destination.

Other pleasures include reading, watching movies, browsing antique shops, learning Spanish and writing. She has just completed a quirky novel and is looking for a publisher.

Assortment in Home

Robin’s household consists of her significant

other, a dog, two cats and an assortment of plant cuttings in windowsill jars.
